Duke Energy Power Outage

Scheduled for 1:00 AM, January 6

Duke Energy is planning to make repairs at our Atlantic Beach substation early Sunday morning, Jan. 6 at 1:00 a.m. Approximately 4,000 customers will be without power for an estimated 2.5 hours. We do not expect any major issues.

The repairs include bringing in a mobile substation and hooking it up so work on the Atlantic Beach substation can take place throughout the week. The following Sunday morning, Jan. 13 at 1:00 a.m. customers will lose power again for 2.5 hours, as we disconnect the mobile transformer and return the Atlantic Beach substation to normal service.
