November 5

Beaufort Bridge Run 5K & 1+ Mile Dog Strut. 120 Turner St., Beaufort, NC.

This popular race sponsored by the Beaufort Lion’s Club takes participants on and over the two new bridges in Beaufort – the high-rise Gallants Channel Bridge and the Turner Street Bridge. The event has quickly become a race destination for seasoned, casual, and novice runners. Participants must register in advance at RunTheEast.com.

Cape Carteret Fall Festival. 1 – 6 p.m. Cape Carteret Community Park, 104 Dolphin St., Cape Carteret, NC.

The festival features something for everyone with craft vendors, food trucks, hayrides, touch-a-truck, face painting, music, axe throwing, and more.

Morehead City Veteran’s Day Parade. 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Downtown Morehead City, NC.

With military bases all around the area and many current and retired military members in our communities, the Morehead City Veteran’s Day Parade is a time-honored tradition that recognizes those who have served the country in war or peace.

Calico Creek Holiday Pop-Up Shop. 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Calico Creek Coffee Shop, 1605 Fisher St., Morehead City.

Quickly becoming the go-to place to find unique holiday gifts, the Calico Creek Holiday Pop-Up Shop features vendors, food trucks, and of course, coffee. All profits from the coffee bar go towards the mission of fighting drug and alcohol addiction in our communities.

November 12

Emerald Isle Car Show. 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Western Ocean Regional Access, at 9003 Louise Ave., Emerald Isle, NC.

The Emerald Isle Car Show is a fun and family-friendly event for Crystal Coast visitors to see decades of unique automobiles. Check out the vehicles, listen to live music, and take a chance on raffle items donated by area businesses. The event raises funds for the Emerald Isle Police Department’s Shop with A Cop initiative this holiday season

Mistletoe Magic Holiday Gift Show. 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Crystal Coast Civic Center, 3505 Arendell St., Morehead City, NC.

More than 80 vendors will fill the Crystal Coast Civic Center with decorations, entertaining ideas, children’s gifts and clothing, jewelry, wood art, pottery, holiday crafts, and many more unique, one-of-a-kind items. Admission is $5 per person. Under 12 is free. 

November 19

Jumble Sale. 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Beaufort Historic Site, 100 Block Turner Street, Beaufort, NC.

The Beaufort Historic Site turns into a vibrant community market with vendors selling a variety of goods, including art, handmade crafts, holiday gifts, pre-loved treasures, antiques, clothing, food, and much more.

Core Sound Waterfowl Museum Christmas Open House. 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Core Sound Waterfowl Museum and Heritage Center, 1785 Island Road, Harkers Island, NC

Kick off the holidays and enjoy the festive decor, including the annual Gallery of Trees. Built as a tribute to the history of the residents of Harkers Island, and to preserve the practice of decoy carving, the museum serves as a gathering place for the heritage and traditions of Core Sound.

November 24

Pine Knoll Shores Turkey Trot. 9 a.m., McNeil Park, 196 Oakleaf Dr., Pine Knoll Shores, NC.

A great way to start your Thanksgiving Day! Pine Knoll Shores is hosting a 5K fun run and a 2-mile dog walk. Registration is free for both events, which start at 9 a.m.

Sports Center Turkey Burner. 701 N. 35th Street, Morehead City, NC.

Here’s another opportunity to burn some calories before enjoying your Thanksgiving feast. The Turkey Burner features a 3-mile run and workout on Thanksgiving morning.

Cape Carteret Turkey Trot.  7 a.m. – noon. Cape Carteret Aquatic & Wellness, 300 Taylor Notion Rd., Cape Carteret, NC.

Walk, run, or just strut in the 5k or 1 mile-for-fun-only event on a course. Get your family and friends together and register as a flock for the “best-dressed flock” contest. Registration closes on Nov. 23 at noon. Some of the proceeds from the event will go toward the Cape Carteret Trail project.

November 26 

Emerald Isle Christmas Parade. 2 – 4 p.m. Emerald Isle, NC.

Get an infusion of Christmas spirit with the town’s Christmas Parade. It will run west along Emerald Drive, from Black Skimmer Drive to Mangrove Drive. A truly family-friendly event.

Small Business Saturday Holiday Market & Street Fair. 3 – 8 p.m. Carteret Community College, 3615 Arendell St., Morehead City, NC

Shop local! More than 100 vendors will be set up for the event, featuring local businesses, food trucks, live music, and more! The event is sponsored by the Carteret Community College Small Business Center.
